C.A.M.O. Week

Last week our school district celebrated CAMO (College Affords More Opportunities) week.  During this week the schools each focus their lessons and days around teaching kids the importance of doing well in school and getting a higher education.  Each day the schools chose their own themes for the kids to dress up to in and of course with the two older ones participating Cayden had to get in on the festivities also.

For Alyssa their week consisted of clothing themes such as wearing cammo, wearing the school colors of their school, the middle school and high school and wearing their favorite college shirt.  Alyssa did participate in each of these days however I was not fortunate enough to take any pictures.

As for Dalton he participated in the face paint day on Thursday, where he painted his face black and red for Texas Tech, then on Friday he was able to wear jeans to school.  Here is Dalton showing his support for Texas Tech:

Of course Cayden followed along with Alyssa's school themes by wearing his camo on Monday but by Thursday he was wanting to go a little more like his big brother.  So after the two oldest were at school I decided to get out the face paints and went to work on Cayden.  Can you guess which team he was supporting on Thursday?

On Friday both schools had the theme for the students to wear their favorite college team shirt along with a pair of jeans.  Once again I failed to get pictures of Alyssa sporting her University of Texas Longhorns shirts but Cayden was in on the activities and was more than willing to show his support for the Longhorns.

All in all it was a fun week for the kids. They each were able to learn a little bit about the importance of getting a college degree. They were able to learn information about colleges that they may be interested in attending.  And most important is that I think Michael and I learned that each of our kids will probably attend the University of Texas in Austin sometime in the future.
