Hammerheads (28) vs Mavericks (13)

Our team had their second scrimmage game Friday night and it seems as if all of the extra practice and hard work our kids have been putting in on the practice field paid off.  Our kids took to the field first and again Alyssa was selected to be pitcher.  She was extremely excited since she's been practicing her catching and pitching at home and was eager to put the things she'd learned from her baseball books to the test.  While we still had some foul ups and a few of the kids were still a little confused about what to do, this game was overall much better than our last.  Not only did we win, but we'd gotten in some pretty good plays and Alyssa even scored 3 runs.  It was a wonderful confidence booster for all of the kids involved and now we're gearing up for our exhibition games next week.  GO HAMMERHEADS!
